Summary
The article analyses certain problematic aspects of the regulation of criminal liability for crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability of juveniles. The authors of the article pay major attention to the issues of criminal liability for voluntary sexual relations or any other satisfaction of sexual desires with juveniles. Taking into consideration the experience of foreign states in regulating criminal liability for criminal acts whereby the freedom of sexual determination and/or inviolability of children is encroached and the case-law of the Llithuanian courts in this area, the authors of the article suggest considering the issue of introducing into the Criminal Code of Llithuania individual criminal liability of adults for voluntary sexual relations or other satisfaction of sexual desires with minors under 16 years of age (15 years of age) (except marital sexual relations or other satisfaction of sexual desires) through deceit by inflicting serious damage to the interests of such a person, being honestly mislead as to the age, etc.
