Reminder for authors

Dear authors of “Knygotyra”,

 The journal publishes scholarly works in book research and the wider range of disciplines within social sciences and humanities (e.g., publishing; production, trade, and dissemination of traditional and electronic books and press; bibliography; library science; bibliophilia; reading science; book art and graphics; history of book and writing, epigraphy; papyrology; manuscript, printed, and digital heritage, its conservation, preservation, and restauration; documentation research; archival and records management issues; biographistics, etc.) devoted to the object related to that of the Book Science according to the classification of research areas, directions and branches approved by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
The editing board of “Knygotyra” draws your attention to some regulations on presentation of the material. The article should include the elements required in any research publication: the goal and objectives of research, description of theoretical framework and methodology, historiography of the problem or earlier research review, results of research, discussion, conclusions, and lists of references and sources. The short abstract of the article and key words must be presented at the begining of the article.
Two copies of the manuscript and an .rtf file on a diskette or via e-mail must be presented to the editing board. The article or publication should not exceed 22-24 typed pages (1,5 lines spacing), surveys and reviews - 12 pages. The summary of 30-50 lines in English should be attachedto the manuscript (it will be translated to Lithuanian language). The possibility of presenting larger articles or illustrations should be discussed with the editing board.

·        The tables should be presented on separate pages;

·        The notes to the text are given at the end of pages (in the footnote). Check the style of references to the literature further down;

·        The Cyrillic bibliographic descriptions are not transliterated or transcribed; 

·        The short data about author should be presented on a separate sheet.

·        Each article is assessed by two reviewers.

References in “Knygotyra”

 References in “Knygotyra” should meet the requirements of the international standard ISO 690:1987 (E) Documents. Bibliographic references. Contents, format, and structure and a Lithuanian standard LST ISO 690-2:1999. It is recommended to use only mandatory data elements in the references.
Bibliographic references should be presented in an alphabetic order at the end of the article and numbered consequently. When quoting the source the relevant reference number should be given in square brackets (see Example). The references to articles are separated by a semi-colon. The quoted pages are indicated after the reference number and separated by a comma.
The articles using other systems of referencing are not accepted.

 EXAMPLE 

McConnell provides an interesting definition of a constitution [2] ………...
The publishing situation of that time is characterised by Raguotienė [3, 28-35] ……..
